Hiking Mount Belford and Mount Oxford in Colorado’s Sawatch Range is a rewarding experience for outdoor lovers. The trails offer beautiful views and are challenging. Mount Belford is 14,197 feet and is often hiked alongside its neighbor, Mount Oxford, also at 14,197 feet. Hikers usually start at the Missouri Gulch trailhead, climbing Belford first before going to Oxford. The trails are marked and well-kept, but some parts need careful navigation as you get close to the summits. Seasonal changes like snow can affect trail conditions, making summer the best time to hike. Both peaks give stunning views of the Rocky Mountains, rewarding those who summit.
