Minimizing Impact

"It is not what we have that will make us a great nation; it is the way in which we use it." - Theodore Roosevelt (1858-1919)

Throughout his career and life, Theodore Roosevelt was a champion of the outdoors.  His words above apply today more than ever.

During this journey through the West and Northwest regions of our country, a conscious effort will be made by Van on the Run to treat the outdoors in a respectful and mindful manner.

Van on the Run will help to preserve our country's vast beauty so that others may seek adventure and find inspiration from the outdoors.

Maximizing Awesome

What is awesome?

Awesome means different things to different people.

For Van on the Run, awesome means finding and sharing an experience worth telling others about.

This will be the primary basis for making decisions on what we share with others along this trip.  The meaning behind this trip is to find new things and experience a new way of living life both on the road and in our nation's backcountry.

Van on the Run wants to appreciate the awesome that we have yet to experience. We want to maximize the awesome we have yet to find.
